Are you a manifester?

Does everything start with the mind?

Do you visualize what you want and receive it? Good or bad? Huuummmmm?? Do you believe in this stuff or is it just BS?

I have been interested in manifesting things since 2013. I first learned about manifestation after watching a movie called The Secret. You probably heard of this movie. In the movie, great metaphysical teachers came together to discuss their views on manifesting the "Life of Your Dreams". The movie came out in 2006 so I was pretty late watching it for many reasons. 1. I was a die hard Christian at the time and I believed that these foreign ideas would conflict with my ingrained beliefs. 2. I thought that it was a bunch of woo woo having little or no scientifically basis.

As time passed, I started to have a change of heart about my Christian religious beliefs. I started questioning my faith and knew that there was more out there. A world yet undiscovered. I felt constricted and limited in Christianity. I wanted to be free and limitless but I didn't know how. Once I became more free and liberated in my spirituality, I became more open to other spiritual beliefs that resonated with me such as Buddhism, Taoism and other eastern faiths.

After watching the secret a few times, it really made sense. The Law of Attraction is the basis of the movie and the book. People call this way of thinking "new age" but in reality, it is "old age" and predates most religions. The law of attraction doesn't care what region you are in. It doesn't even care if you don't have a religion at all. It is just an unbiased law.

What someone gives attention to expands. What you focus on is attracted to you. It's all about vibration. Like attracts like.

Do you know someone who always seems to attract drama in their life. Bad relationships, unhappiness, money problems, etc. On the other hand, you may know someone who seems to have the best of everything. Drama free, happy with great relationships. Why is this? Based on the Law of Attraction philosophy, this is not by chance.

After listening to the secret audio book and a few other metaphysical books like the power by Rhonda Byrne, I thought that I will give this manifesting thing a try. I created my first vision board in 2013. It had some weight loss goals, diet changes, business goals of making a million dollars, travel experiences, spiritual growth, becoming an amazing swimmer, great friendships and happiness.

I learned that having a vision board was nice but looking at the vision board wasn't enough. The vision board helps to keeps a person focused. It also helps you to match the frequency of what you wanted and helped the vision to be seared into your subconscious mind. Remember...what you focus on expands.

I knew that if I wanted to really manifest, I had to ramp things up a bit by doing 3 things.

1. Matching the frequency of what I wanted. I realized that everything had a frequency. Happiness is a frequency. Sadness is a frequency. Abundance is a frequency. Being poor is a frequency. How did I match the frequency of what I wanted? I would meditate and visualize myself having what I desired right now in the present moment. I would actually feel the feeling of having, being and doing what I desired in the present moment. Faking it until I made it.

For example, I wanted a Silver Mercedes Benz but in no way could I afford it. I would meditate on driving my brand new silver Mercedes Benz even though I was driving a 2003 Honda. I would visualize myself holding the steering wheel, looking at the Mercedes emblem and being thankful that I already had it. Even while physically driving my Honda, I would literally act like I was driving a brand new silver Mercedes Benz. My husband and I also went to Mercedes Benz dealerships to to test drive and just sit inside the Benz even though we couldn’t afford it by a long shot. This is what you call matching the frequency.

2. Putting in the work. Just sitting around and doing nothing while staring at your vision board won’t get you to where you want to be. There is something special about visualizing AND being active toward your goal that creates the magic. What do you do? What direction do you go in? You may not know but ask for direction while meditating and DO SOMETHING! Start a business, create something that will help others or learn a new skill to improve yourself. Once the momentum gets going, you will be guided in the right direction for sure!

3. Affirming what I want with spoken words. This is another way to focus on what I wanted. The Law of Attraction says focus on what you want and what you want wants you. Speaking affirmations out loud helped me to stay focused on what I wanted. The more I said my affirmations, the more I believed it (whether it was true at the time or not). If you repeat anything millions of times, you will definitely come to believe it. It is like reprogramming your mind. I would tell myself things out loud. I would say, I love my life. I am happy. I love being alive. I am unconditionally happy. I have tons of friends. I have abundance. I have healthy. I am wealthy. After repeating these things every morning, I couldn't help but feel hyped to start my day. I started my day with a high vibration just by speaking positive words.

In addition to wanting that brand new Benz, I wanted to have more friends. I was never the type to have a lot of friends throughout school. As an adult, I had a few friends but wasn’t really open to new friendships. I guess I had trust issues. I wanted some great relationships in my life so I had to do something different. I started visualizing myself being friendlier and I would see myself hanging out with some great people in my mind first. I would imaging myself going to dinner, festivals and other fun places with friends. The Law of Attraction states that during visualizing, your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between what is reality and what is imagined. Eventually, I slowly noticed differences in my reality concerning this. I slowly became open to new relationships and I began attracting some wonderful people into my life. I had to see it in my mind first before it became a reality.

As time passed, I got deeper into my practice and some amazing things started happening.

With everything I desired, I matched the frequency. I put in the work and I affirmed what I wanted with gratitude. As I mentioned previously. I faked it until I made it.

I manifested 90% of what was on my vision board. I lost weight, made over a million dollars with my business, experienced crazy spiritual growth through meditation and traveled to multiple countries. I manifested so many wonderful friendships and I swim like a fish now.

I know that it seems mystic and unconventional but I truly believe that matching the frequency of what I wanted is the key to having my abundant life!

Needless to say, I got my silver Mercedes Benz that I visualized. Now I’m gonna a take this thing to the next level and manifest my Vegan White Bently Continental GTC that has been floating around in my thoughts lately. I know that I’ll get one. I’m not worried one bit. Not sure when but I’m confident that it is gonna happen.

Have you ever manifested anything? I would love to hear your stories about what you manifested. I would also really love to hear the methods that you used to manifest.

Thank you so much for reading my article to the end. I have so much more to share about my manifesting and spiritual experiences in my future articles.
